But, for a short period, I was creating music intended for a film, but that was a difficult process when you have no complete video to time the mood and the swings of the composition; you are unlikely to want to hear a romantic violin or heavy guitar rift during a spoken conversation with a witch in a quiet hallway in a country house... and then suddenly you hear a shotgun, during the flute solo, so that shall we say was becoming a bit difficult to conceive how it might work, so I gave up on that musical route... having composed 14 short musical pieces for it, it wasn't a waste of time, because it put me into musical areas I hadn't tried before; will it be released, yes in some form, but at the moment it's not on my release list yet.

One thing that I am doing is going over some older material and fixing or completely re-recording them, since some were done with drum machines and synth bass or the general sound needed an improvement, so they are now being done with real drums, real bass, and better mixed (I did learn something during the lockdown).

Also for those who wanted something new, here is a piece I created called requiem... for a friend, all instruments played by me, which might have appeared in the film... but this now itself includes video...

Two tracks are intentionally Massive in Bristolian way, in the band that became synonymous with Bristol, Massive Attack. and yes we have an Arabic track and a love song.4:41Brillstereodeck Musictag:brillstereodeck.com,2005:Post/39492232015-12-04T13:59:29+00:002015-12-04T13:59:29+00:00New stuff and prospective releases.. need your view..Been composing music for a few other things other than the next album, which is tentatively titled V2, but things can change.

Thought I would release one track which will be included in the line up of the next album; so have now released "The Neverending" (its available here to buy).

I am thinking of releasing a compilation of instrumental tracks I have composed in the last few months, but unsure if they connect enough for a cohesive release of material, but thats my own perception, other people may have a view on that one...

You can make your views known by clicking on the above title (in red) and place your comments
Brillstereodeck Musictag:brillstereodeck.com,2005:Post/22210422015-08-15T15:55:00+01:002022-04-05T00:03:07+01:00Vent Elate

The first CD under the Vent Elate project name was released on Tuesday 17th January 2011.
